By downloading or using Lockbox you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), which applies in addition to them.

What Lockbox is

Lockbox is an app that encrypts photos, videos and documents on your iPhone. There is no account and no server. Your files stay on your device.

Your passcode and your data

• Only you hold the key to your vault. We cannot see your files and we cannot reset or recover a forgotten passcode. If you forget it, the files in your vault cannot be recovered.
• Your vault is not included in iCloud or computer backups and, in this version, does not transfer to a new iPhone. Export anything you want to keep before deleting the app, erasing your iPhone or switching phones.
• Deleting the app or using "Erase Vault" permanently deletes your vault.
• You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important.

Free version and Lockbox Pro

The free version stores up to 25 items in one album. Lockbox Pro unlocks unlimited items and albums, the decoy vault, import-and-delete originals and the private camera. Pro is available as:

• Lifetime: a one-time purchase. It does not renew.
• Yearly and Monthly: auto-renewing subscriptions.

Subscriptions

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
• Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.

Refunds

All payments are handled by Apple. Refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Acceptable use

Do not use Lockbox to store or share content that is illegal where you live.

No warranty

Lockbox is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable and secure, but we do not guarantee it will be free of errors, and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss of data or other damages arising from its use.

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page.
